BACHMAN-WILSON
HOUSE
Architect: Frank Lloyd Wright
This structure goes really well with the environment; having
a touch of wood in an environment like is quite appealing to the eye. The glass
facades definitely enhanced the appearance of the house; there is just
something about mixing glass with wood that gives a building a very modern
appearance. The balcony makes the building more interesting; it would have been
flat without it. I also like the stairs that lead you to the elevation of the
building. That procession makes the structure a lot more distinguished.
This home has a touch of class, and elegance to it, the placement
of the furniture, and also the fireplace against that white wall is just
beautiful. Also you can see part of the
stairs from the living room. I like the way each step is separate and
suspended. I really love each detail that adds to the wooden theme of this
structure. One can definitely over do the “wood”, but this structure is so well
coordinated that the wood adds an earthy feeling to the home. Those tiles are beautiful;
it’s a bit darker than the furniture but still lighter than the roof, tying
everything together.
