Right when you walk up to the High Museum of Art in Atlanta
it’s an obvious Richard Meier design. Its all white tile design is a signature
of Meier, as well as the use of the right angles contrasted by the more rounded
areas. The pathway that goes to the front entrance, makes a person feel as
though they about to embark on some type of artist journey as they go walk
through this building full of contemporary art. Inside Meier continues with the
contrast between squared and circular as the main atrium highlights these
elements. I like this building a lot and I feel like this is one of Meier’s
stronger designs in terms of his signature style. Definitely will be visiting
if I am ever in Atlanta.
