The Chesapeake Finish Line Tower is another really cool
piece of architecture that is here in Oklahoma City. Located in the newly
famous boathouse district in downtown OKC, its very contemporary look really
pops out amongst the layout of the land and draws everyone’s eyes in as soon as
they see it. This is another building that was designed by Rand Elliot, who has
been very successful the last few years, as he has been created many interesting
contemporary buildings around the city. It practically just a tall glass triangle
that spans about 4 stories and over looks the Oklahoma City River and is the
host for the rowing officials as it was built as the finish line for the races.
It was important that this structure was designed to really stand out as well
as all the other boathouses that surround it because this is the location where
the hold the national and world rowing races, which brings people in from all
around the world.
