Galliart - Blog 16
The Pyramid of the Sun is a structure at Teotihuacan in Mexico. It is the largest building in a city that once held heavy influence over Mesoamerica. It is made of stone, and it has steps leading to its summit. The pyramid was once painted, but most of its paint and plaster has worn off over the centuries. Who built Teotihuacan is a matter of debate, as they did not use writing as we know it, and the artifacts they left often give only vague hints. It is not the largest pyramid in Mesoamerica, but it was revered by the later Aztecs and likely influenced their pyramid construction style.
