Young- Blog 6
For years, Oklahoma City was a relatively unimpressive state capitol. When you think a major city, you think of massive skyscrapers of stone, iron, and glass towering above the surrounding land, visible for miles around. Oklahoma City didn't fit this description- until 2012. In that year, the Devon Tower was finally completed. With its sleek, curving glass structure and clean lines, the building could only be described as eye-catching, even while under construction. The tallest building in Oklahoma, it serves as a visual indicator of the urbanization of Oklahoma City. As more skyscrapers are built, the city is slowly modernized, becoming a true example of the idealized major city.
