The Getty Museum in Los Angles, California is
one of Richard Meier most famous pieces of architecture. It's an icon for the
area and a backdrop for many different movie and shows. It's all white look
with its rounded designs really draw people in and also since it's set on the
hillside looking over LA, it allows for a great view of the city and brings in
many spectators for that specific reason. It also has several garden areas
that were designed by another designer. Even though Meier didn’t design the
garden areas, they do a great job of bring out the design of Meier’s building.
The massive structure towers over the gardens as the stone and white tile
elements really do a great job of contrasting the surrounding environment. The
design features many different shapes that all mesh together in a great way
that really works well. The circular patterns contrasted by the more squared parts
of the building do a great job of making the building an eye catcher by anyone
who may come across it
