The Texas state capitol will always be an iconic building to me because it's capitol to the best state in America and also the Great State of Austin. I took field trips here as a child multiple times and have fond memories of the building. I'm from Round Rock which is a super suburb of Austin. Round Rock is completely different from the Austin that everyone thinks of; it's not cool, weird, or hip, and if it's not a franchise then it doesn't exist. So I loved going to the city to escape my boring little neighborhood. The capitol is such a piece of Austin, and Texas of course. I'm proud to be from Texas and overtime I see this building, I'm reminded that I come from the best place on Earth.
