Portal San Fernando: By Lake/Flato (Assigned Architect )
I really liked the idea of this project, because this space was originally a parking lot. Lake/Flato was able to bring natural environment back to this land that was once destroyed by concrete. This pathway is used to connect people from the historic plaza to the river. Even though this project is fairly simple it brings so much life to the area. Its hard for me to imagine it once as a parking lot.
I also was intrigued because my group was assigned people places and this is a great example.
