Harry Ransom Center: By Lake/Flato (Assigned Architect)
Located at the University of Texas (Boo), But imagery on the windows caught my attention. This is a research library and museum, the images on the windows are of pieces from the museums collection. Like a sneak peak to draw a person in wanting to see more. This building is another one of the adaptive reuse designs.
This is what the building used to look like. Boring cement walls that when people used to walk by the building wouldn't spark any interest.
now the building stands out. You can't not look at the building now. It draws you in and makes you curious whats inside. That exactly what a museum should do.
