Rivera- 12

In 2010, Jeanne Gang's architecture firm completed the Nature Boardwalk at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. The goal was to create "a slice of prairie in the big-city"by revitalizing Lincoln Park's South Pond at the Zoo. Personally, I don't see any sort of prairie feeling from the building itself. The landscape certainly has a wildlife feel to it, but the building is something a little more futuristic, not nostalgic. The half-mile long Boardwalk serves as an outdoor, environmental classroom that I can definitely see hosting weekly Pilates classes, but not much else. Were it not for it's size, and probably expensive building material,  I could easily see this in any other nondescript running trail/park. Not impressed.
