The Basilica of Santa Maria del Santo Spirito was constructed in 1481 in Florence, Italy. Filippo Brunelleschi was one of four architects who worked on this structure. Like some of his other works, Brunelleschi utilizes his liking for neutral colors like tans, stones, and browns. The outside of this structure is very elongated with equally elongated windows lining the sides of the building. I like how the top of the front of the building has curved edges instead of the boring flat edged walls of today.
I think the inside of this building is stunning. I love the way the ceiling creates a feeling of length with its design, as well as the arches that seem to be a common theme in European architecture. I do enjoy the inside of the Basilica of Santa Maria del Santo Spirito of Brunelleschi, however, if I were to walk past this structure I probably wouldn't have gone inside because the exterior architecture doing seem pleasing to my eyes.
