Moser-12 WaterTemple

Water Temple by Tadao Ando

Awaji, Hyōgo, Japan

This building is actually a Buddhist temple located in Japan.  The structure's materials are fairly simple allowing the natural elements surrounding and within it to be seen and felt.  Aside from the aesthetic beauty of this temple, the building in its entirety is symbolic. I will not attempt to explain sacred symbolism these because I don't think I could do them the justice they deserve. The Water Temple is an active and is home to Ninnaji Shingon, which in the oldest branch of Tantric Buddhism in Japan
