Continuing on the theme of colorless exterior, Filippo Brunelleschi began planning the construction of the Cappella dei Pazzi in 1441. Two decades after the death of Brunelleschi, the Cappella dei Pazzi was finished in 1460. Even though the building is still considered Brunelleschi's work because of all of his plans, he did not get to see it completed. One of the main aspects in the plans of this building were the influences of geometrical forms.
The inside of this structure is stunning. The grey toned walls really contrast with the vibrant blues of the undersides of the domes. The colors of the blues accentuate the idea of the sky above you. I love the beautiful pop of color that these domes give to the eye! After researching Filippo Brunelleschi, I have found that although he used tons of neutral colors to construct his visions, but in the off chance that he uses a bright color it is always blue. The Cappella dei Pazzi is one of my favorite structures from Filippo Brunelleschi.
