Esherick House
This is one of the nine houses that architect Louis Kahn designed in his time here on Earth, which was completed in 1961. It is such a significantly different house that the ones that were built at this time, and tends to resemble a small office building from some angles, similar to the ones that he usually designs. I like the way it lets in a lot of natural light with floor to ceiling windows on the whole backside of the house. He made a simple box house seem so intricate and pleasing to look at with the shapes and materials that he used with no one side looking the same. I enjoy the large, two story living room that occupies the majority of the interior.
