Tow - Blog 5
This is a picture of the front of my high school. I have many fond memories of this building, but came to recognize the architecture as "cookie-cutter." I noticed that all the schools in my area that were constructed after my high school looked very similar. They all had the same color palette, the same boxy, slant roof, and grid lines on the walls. I can't say much about how similar the interior of the buildings were, but I assume they had a similar aura if not a similar design. I believe the design of the school served its purpose well and did a decent job housing everything it needed to. That is, of course, with the continued expansion of the high school that occurred for years. It was built in 2005 and then continuously for several years after that, new wings and rooms were added, due to either being undersized, or maybe they just want to construct the core building and have it operating as soon as possible. I rarely ever entered the front of the building, rather I would always enter through the back of the school, by the band hall, since that was always my first class and where I wanted to go regardless.
