France has always been a place that I have felt connected to. I wanted to go to France for years but I never had the time to go until the summer after my senior year in high school. My sister and I decided to fly to France for two weeks and travel around the country. That was when I first saw the Eiffel Tower. Of course the height and grandness of the structure was beautiful, but I felt like I was looking at history! My sister and I spent an entire afternoon in the 7th arrondissement of Paris soaking up all the french that we could learn. It was an incredible experience to have a picnic in the gardens surrounding such a beautiful piece of architecture. The moment I stepped foot in front of the Eiffel Tower I decided that I wanted to become a french major. Four years later, I have lived in France and I am fluent in french and I thank my visit to the Eiffel Tower for giving me the inspiration to follow my dreams!
