So one of the more interesting pieces of architecture I've come across in my travels would probably be the mosque in Turkey known as Hagia Sophia. This might be because of the fact that they're aren't too many mosque in Oklahoma, but they are very unique looking nonetheless. Specifically with regards to Hagia Sophia, even though the overall size with the outside domes and pillars are unique in their own, the inside is the reason it has become one of the central attractions in Istanbul. The rough colors of charcoal and gold give the inside a unique feel that most of the other mosques I visited didn't have. The domes and arches all seem the be organized in a symmetrical fashion that leaves everyone who visits looking up rather than around. On the outside, the domes seem to roll off each other as they finally reach the tall pointed pillars, something that you won't see anywhere in the US
