The Scholastic Building in New York City is the final of Rossi's works that I will focus on, and like many of his works it is dominated by cartoon like themes that I just don't find pleasing. The painted fake metal beams is not something I enjoy. The vertical columns at that spacing on the face of such a narrow building makes them appear wide. I do like the overall color scheme, and if the fake beams were replaced with something that has more of a "finished" look, I feel like I could really get behind this building.
