Spiller Blog 3

My father originally lived across the street from the lot where this house currently stands.  He purchased the land and the house that used to be there only to demolish it and build his idea of home.  In 1993 my father, mother, newly born sister and myself moved into this house.  A year later my parents divorced and this house no longer became a home.  It became a house.  This house can be said to be the cause of their divorce due to the large financial undertaking to build it.  Life was never the same after this house got built.  I've lived in this house located in Kansas City Missouri for a majority of my life and it still brings back curious emotions when I spare time to actually think about it.

Architecturally the house is pleasing to the eye, and I have learned about what I like and don't like based off of this house.  Hopefully when the time comes to purchase or build my own home I will be able to learn from the harsh truths that this particular house.
