Tow - Blog 2

This is the New Mexico Global Model Earthship by Michael Reynolds. Similar to the previous earthship I blogged about, this building is meant to be self-sufficient and environmentally benign.  I enjoy the symmetrical appearance of this building and think that the grid pattern on the solar panels enhances the symmetrical aspect of the building. I also really appreciate the wooden appearance. The wood goes well with the stone and dirt making for earthy tones while simultaneously contrasting with the artificial precision of the glass and solar panels. Once again, the gravel/dirt in front of the threshold detracts from the rest of the structure's appearance.
