Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed the Queen's Cross church in 1896. It has a tower, but it barely extends beyond the roof. The exterior is made of bricks and is mostly plain. Mackintosh's firm was contracted by a religious group that demanded relative simplicity. Therefore only the windows have organic designs. The interior's wood has some floral carving as well. It is the only extant church designed by Mackintosh.
