The WMS Boathouse at Clark Park in Chicago was completed in 2013 by Jeanne Gang's firm. The roof it meant to echo the rhythm of rowing. The building is meant as a public meeting space and also as a practice facility for youth rowing teams, because of it's convenient location next to the Chicago River. The roof is also intended to help minimize energy use through natural light. The cleretory glazing warms the floor slab of the structure in winter and ventilates in summer to minimize energy use year-round.
