This is a picture of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. done by my architect, Maya Lin. I think this is one of her more creative works in that on the wall are the list of veterans who have sacrificed their lives in the name of the country. This topic is very close to home in that both my parents have served in the military, my father for 20 years and my mother for 4 years. In addition to this memorial wall, there is also a sculpture of soldiers mourning the loss of one of their comrades. I really enjoy her creativity and I think this is one of her better works.
