Estes 2

This is the Pavilion for Japanese Art by Bruce Goff. It was constructed from 1978 to 1988 to showcase the Japanese art from 3000 BC to the 20th century that is owned by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Goff used translucent fiberglass to employ natural sunlight to achieve the same conditions that the artwork was originally viewed in, allowing it to be seen and interpreted in multiple levels. With the large space and more modern design, I am interested in one day exploring this building.
