Allensworth 15

This is the Wayne L. Morse US Courthouse by Thom Mayne. This is yet another building that is US level. He has gone above and beyond with this design and changing the way we can think of a court house. Again, I think that most of think of a courthouse as a brick building with columns and steps, yet this is a modern day visual appeal that sits on this corner making a statement. One think I particularly love is how the red white and blue flag stand out more so than the building. I am not sure if that was thought of until after but it is genius.  It almost makes a statement of "yes this building is here to make a statement, but were here to serve the people of the US". The lines on this building are very well thought out and very well placed together. There is something to be said about how he makes a US courthouse so aesthetically pleasing to the eye in such a different manner.
