Another work of the Saarinen and Saarinen design firm, Christ Church Lutheran in Minneapolis ended up being Eliel Saarinen's last building. Following a simplistic design similar to the pair's other works, the building exemplified modern religious architecture in the United States. In fact, many churches with a similar design can be found today, most build in the decades immediately after the church's opening. An addition was crafter in the early sixties and was, by coincidence, Eero Saarinen's final project as well. The sleek brick exterior is both warm and inviting, and the vaulted interior space provides an area uniquely suited to religious activities.
