The Basilica Cathedral in Denver, Colorado is another one of my favorite buildings. One of the times I went and visited my aunt, she took me to her boyfriend's parents church. We went to mass in this gorgeous building. Even though I'm not catholic I was very welcomed, and I was immediately enthralled with the beauty of the church and sermon. There is nothing like a sermon echoing from the walls of this church. In fact, I found out that this is the oldest catholic cathedral in Denver. I have a lot of good memories with this building not just because of the beauty but the memories. When my aunt and I were in the middle of the priest's prayer, one of the men upfront was kneeling on the stage and a huge spider ran right towards him. My aunt and I were not closing our eyes, like we should've been, and we noticed the spider crawl up the man's leg. The inside of the church echoes like crazy and we were trying our hardest to keep in our snickering. I'm sure some church members were not happy with our occasional laughing during prayer, but it was one of the best memories I've had with my aunt.
