Overall Thom Mayne, has created some very interesting buildings all so in a modern manner. There are some I am not a fan of and some I think are absolutely beautifully done. the buildings I found for Thom Mayne were mostly schools and even federal buildings. All still done in this modern manner. For these types of buildings to be done in this manner speaks volumes of his work. It seems as though he wasn't just doing architecture for anyone who was willing to pay for it, rather taking on jobs where he thought he could make an impact and a life changing experience. So often we see high schools just thrown up in a typical floor plan all pretty generic. Yet with his designs we see architecture that can challenge students to do well, and want to come to school in such an amazing environment. The federal buildings speak for themselves, as they are some of the few federal buildings of this architecture. He took something run down and over used and decided to make these buildings new and refreshing.
