Villa Mairea

                    This is another of Aalto's works, and one of the most inviting in my opinion. The flat design contrasts well with the tall slender trees surrounding it, but I feel the redwood deck is just a bit to dark for the white walls. If the white were something just a little less vibrant I feel I would be able to pay more attention to the many different sizes and shapes of windows on the exterior. The wood almost blends into the surrounding foliage, but the white matches more of the sky. Overall, I feel like it fits the scenery quite nicely.
