Holloway Blog 1 Himeji Castle
I have always liked the look of Himeji Castle sitting on top of its hill. I see the white walls broken by the horizontal lines of the floors and can't help but be in awe of its majesty. Its very traditional, which works in its own respect. I especially like the contrast between the curves of the points in a work otherwise composed of straight lines. Also, the green of the gardens that surround it make it into a sort of barrier between the ground and sky, which is really cool.
