This is the 30 St. Mary Axe. It's located in downtown London and is commonly referred to as the Gherkin. I remember it really standing out when I was in London. It has a very unique shape for a building; it looks like a glass rocket ship to me. I really like this building! I remember within the city, standing next to buildings that were centuries old and seeing this on the skyline. It created quite the juxtaposition between old and new. It's a very smooth building in a landscape of edges and corners. While I don't have any further connection to the Gherkin really, I remember it as one of my favorite buildings from London, and really just one of my favorite buildings I've seen in person.
