Southern architecture is by far my favorite. I love going through the south and seeing the houses that have been preserved. I find the grandness and symmetry of old south design very striking and appealing. While I would prefer to have a small country farmhouse than to be responsible for cleaning a house of such size, I find these plantation houses beautiful. I find U.S history fascinating, and the South is rich with it. However it is possible that I have just watched Gone With the Wind one too many times.
