Emanuel Blog 4

Above is the Conservatoire de Musique et de Danse de Darius Milhaud in Bouches-du-Rhône, France designed by Kengo Kuma. I danced almost every year of my life until I came to the University of Oklahoma. Whilst I was in France I stumbled upon this gem of a building. I love the way the windows become a mirror and you can see the sky on the building and how the public can witness the ballet dancers at work. What originally drew me to this building though was the use of angles and how the building seems to be wrapped in metal. I think when an individual constructs a building like this it allows other people in the community to express their creativity as well.
