Once I was shown the Corn Palace. It is a brick building whose facade is completely covered in corn kernels. They are used to create a mosaic, and they must be replaced each year. The building has Russian onion domes and Moorish minarets in order to make it distinct and memorable. Every few years competitions are held to design the building's mosaics. The building is a tourist attraction, though it contains a multipurpose arena.
