James Doherty Blog 6

Upstate New York Compound Ai Weiwei. This house hits all my loves: simplicity, economy of space, clean lines, function over form, splashes of wood in the interior, and nature. Four simple boxes on the outside with giant holes. It’s like nearly every single one before it in some way, almost repetitive at this point. Through the windows you can see the use of stone but sadly you can’t see the gorgeous use of wood in some rooms. I think the kitchen stands out as odd with its grey cabinets but it can’t all be perfect.
