Craftsman 65 Butte Minnesota by Gustav Stickley. It is
interesting that Stickley simply published hundreds of blueprints for building
his homes and through this, they are able to pop up all over without him having
to do anything but sell his magazines. I like this example of his design number
65 with the giant front porch and the inset balcony. The balcony in interesting
in that it allows for use of the space adjacent to the balcony inside and
allows for the balcony to be covered by the roof and not covered by an
extension of the roof. Another interesting aspect is that the door is off to
the left of the stairs and not at the top of the stairs where you might expect
it.
