Horn Blog 1
Blog 1 is for my time spent in China.
This picture is of the school at which I worked. The school is located in Meizhou City, which is a part of the Guandong Province.
I've always been very surprised by their definition of necessity as to an educational environment. This school, like many schools in the area, hosts a minimal architectural theme. Everything is made from concrete - there are only open rooms with a central fan. The only electric lights are found in the administration room for the teachers. While the rooms were very dusty due to the design of the motel, verses hotel. Also located in the school were some dormitories for students who lived too far away to travel daily. In the same way, these dorms were comprised of wooden bunk beds with a mat as a mattress.
Even though it is so far away from the address listed on my driver's license, when I see this building, it feels like home.
I've also included a picture of a time I climbed to the top and planked on the roof =]
