The Miho Museum

The Miho Museum is another I.M.Pei piece of work located in a nature preserve in Japan. This building was built in 1996 and was built with limestone imported from France. Some of the lighting located inside was made in Germany and the railing is made from Spanish alabaster. The museum seems to be made up from items from around the world but still keeps to the surrounding region.

The entrance contains a tunnel and bridge before getting to the double doors of the actual building. This is due to the mountainous area the museum sits in. In fact, the majority of the building is actually underground in order to nestle into the mountainous region. I.M. Pei again uses nature and the famous geometric building and big open windows,
