Rocktown Oklahoma City, Ok
I’m sure everyone has seen Rocktown at some point is
passing. It is an old grain silo which
has been re-purposed into a very successful rock climbing establishment. The fact that someone was able to see this
old building and envision it as what it is now, is astonishing. Though I have only been there a few times whenever
I drive by it I tell myself, “I need to go there”. It seems like in today’s “throwaway society”
such old structures/ “eye-sores” are quickly torn down and new structures are
rebuilt on the ashes which remain. Yet,
this old derelict building was spared and given a second chance, a new life as
Rocktown.
