Moser-5 Parking Garage

The OU Parking Garage on Asp

I know, I know....a parking structure? But seriously, aside from it's aesthetically pleasing outside and one directional ramps on the inside, it is the stairs which I have to too appreciate.  Most stair cases (espcially ones located in a parking garage) feel enclosed and dark, the railing usually leave a black residue on your hand if you forget where you are and touch it and of course there are many which occasionally smell of urine (you know what I'm talking about!), but I really like theses stairs.
Every day I park on one of the higher levels and (call it a challenge, call crazy, call it idiotic) take the stairs.  The parking spot in which I park is always unoccupied when I arrive, probably because it’s a “crappy” spot, it being far from the elevator and all.  Every day I walk down and back up those stairs at least twice (obviously) but on average I’d say more around 3 as I’m always forgetting something it seems.  It’s a fairly quite staircase, protected from the elements by glass which give it a more open feel, it’s not very fancy with its concrete steps and metal rails, I have yet to step foot in the elevators.   I really love to take the stairs when it's raining, the glass guards me yet allows my to watch the rain.  One thing about these stairs which intrigues me is the space between the rail and the glass wall.  It's not particularly large but decent enough for someone to fit in or drop a backpack down.  I don’t know how you’d retrieve your belongings.   For example, say you somehow managed to drop your keys over the edge, they would land below where the first floor ends, how would you retrieve them?  I like these stairways, they give me time to think and kick my butt on a regular basis.  I plan to continue these odd daily ritual till I no longer have any reason to park there.
