The Hawaiian Convention Center
Honolulu Hawaii

For the most part, buildings in Honolulu and
Waikiki are fairly geometrically common in design, most being hotel or business
buildings (to include bars). This
building is a common reference point because its uncommon appearance is
noteworthy to tourist and locals alike.
Seeing this building during the day is alright, but it doesn’t compare
to the spectacular sight at night when this building, enveloped in glass, is
lit up. The design reminds me of the sails
and the wind on the ocean, which of course fits its location. This building has a modern twist yet still
manages to keep a natural feel. This a building
which really does seem to be tailored for Oahu.
